Tricky question. Once I finally talk myself into laying down, it takes fifteen minutes or less to fall asleep. Of course, that does not mean I stay asleep.
I usually wake up at least twice because I’m searching for something in a dream and wake up looking for whatever it is. One time I woke up in the parking lot of my apartment building. Luckily I had pants on.
A good night’s sleep is sometimes elusive at my house. I’m open to suggestions.
I found this cool poster of the side effects of sleep deprivation on Pinterest from Anna Anderson Walker. She also has a blog “Torchlight Conceptions” at http://aandersonwalker.wordpress.com/ Her latest blog is about sneezing. Interesting stuff.
I like the graphic. So basically, sleep matters! 🙂
i had sleep issues too, i can’t figure out yet how to stay asleep through the night but i do get at least 4 hours straight…. here’s my blog http://ourkookylife.blogspot.com/2013/10/mr-sandman-bring-me-dream-nablopomo.html
Thanks!! I need a routine. Or a better routine. 🙂
I’m on medicine that causes me to do all kinds of weird stuff in my sleep including “sleep eating”. I am a vegetarian and I have woken up three times eating some kind of cold meat. A leftover cheeseburger, some cold spaghetti with meat sauce. One morning I woke up and lying on my pillow with me was a cold piece of barbequed chicken that I had apparently eaten a little off of and then slept the night with. It’s pretty disconcerting, you know? I have found if I eat sugar it is more likely to happen; probably my body needing protein, so I have quit eating sweets and it hasn’t happened in a while thankfully, LOL!
Oh my, that is funny. lol. 🙂 Thanks for sharing. I haven’t done that. . . yet.
