If I could change one thing about myself, I would be less of an introvert. I really do like to go out and see what’s going on in the world. By midnight, being around people has exhausted me. Within the last year, the problem has increased. Many times I have to decide between going out or being by myself. Being by myself too much can be really lonely. So I’m trying to see if there are other options. I don’t want my best friend to be the computer and my cell phone because that is the case right now. I’ve also seen residents that shut themselves away from social interaction and they don’t seem happier for it.

I, too, an an introvert. I find difficulty balancing my enjoyment and desire to interact with others and my need to be left alone. Hun is also an introvert, so we both struggle.

There are activities that we really enjoy and help bring broader meaning to our lives, so we do them. I keep my circle of close people closer, and usually they accept that I have trouble staying in contact without being offended.

Keep at it, you’ll find your balance. (mine can change with the seasons, whether weather or life) 🙂

Thanks for being encouraging! 🙂 I will keep trying. 🙂 My boyfriend is an extrovert so I try to go out when he goes sometimes.

Someone once told me that by being shy, we (the introvert) are being selfish. “How’s that?” I asked.
“By not sharing your light with others,” was the answer.
I’m still shy, but, I try to remember those words of wisdom when I’m feeling introverted. Good luck! 🙂
