What have I learned? NaBloPoMo

Since beginning NaBloPoMo in October, I have learned that I am up to the challenge of blogging every day. In fact, I have really enjoyed posting something new every day. The prompts are helpful on days when I can’t think of what to say. I do like the freedom of writing about topics that interest me.
It is also interesting to see what WordPress readers or NaBloPoMo followers enjoy about my blog. There have been posts that I didn’t think would be successful but people are still reading them. On the other hand, there were posts that I thought would be a hit but they turned out to be less successful.

There is a great deal of effort that goes into daily blogging. Besides writing and editing my own posts, I do a little publicity on several social media sites. I also read what other bloggers are publishing, whether it’s writing or photographs. If I like their blog, I follow the blog and make comments on their work. It has been awesome to see what other people are doing. It’s not a competition but I like to see if I am accomplishing as much as I could do on the blog. So a little comparison now and then helps me.

I try to work ahead by thinking about prompts and writing posts as soon as possible. I’m sure that I drive my boyfriend crazy talking about blogging prompts and photo challenges. So far he hasn’t let on that it’s too much blog-talk. He and the kids tag along for photo challenges sometimes so that’s been fun.

I know that I have become addicted to blogging.

I agree with you – blogging is fun. I definitely see myself able to “burnout” on blogging if I keep it as an every day posting “requirement”. I think I’ll enjoy going back to my previous schedule of 3 published posts a week. On the other hand, it’s fun to connect with other blogs on a daily basis, many of which I may never have stumbled across. 🙂

I would not have known about most of the blogs if I hadn’t had to start a blog for a fashion class. It was my favorite part of class. 🙂
