Exercise sounds like Exorcise. NaBloPoMo

What are you currently feeling pressure to do that you don’t particularly enjoy?

I’m still trying to talk myself into exercising. My biggest problem will be to keep exercising. I don’t have a gym or a trainer or an exercise buddy.
I did buy some new yoga pants. It was in an effort to talk myself into actually doing yoga. I found some online yoga classes at http://www.doyogawithme.com/yoga-beginners.
I’ll let you know if I make any progress.

  1. Holley,
When I needed support, I went to this amazing website. http://sparkpeople.com/ It’s free and it has all kinds of tracking things to make the exercise journey a little more interesting and almost fun. Also, you can join groups based on your location, and the points you earn for doing your exercise and posting how many minutes helps your whole team earn points. I like the competition and knowing that my exercise time is helping my team. Also, you might want to set a reasonable schedule that you will do. Even three times a week is more than you’re doing now, right? So set three times a week, and plan to reward yourself with something (not food, haha) each time you complete it. Finally, realize that you might not always meet your goal. That’s normal, but perseverance is key. So when you fail to meet the goal (and you will; life gets in the way a lot), you will have a plan to jump right back in there.

If this is helpful, I can send you other links that have been helpful to me. Best wishes as you set out on this new adventure! 🙂

Thanks! I was going to get a schedule going when holidays are over & everyone is back to a routine. 🙂 But thanks so much for the link. I’ll check it out. It sounds like it could be helpful. 🙂
Life does get in the way, doesn’t it? 😉

  2. JackieP – Canada – I enjoy reading, writing, and painting. I love animals and at present have one dog (Sam) and 2 cats (brother and sister, Notwen and Pouncer). I've lived in various places in the USA and now in Canada. I've always enjoyed watching life and people and have developed an appreciation for it all. My outlook is sometimes out of the normal.... but that's what makes things so interesting! I am always interested in the opinions of others. Everyone has their own outlook and it's always worthwhile to listen! http://tobreatheistowrite.com

Oh I hate exercise, but I really should start doing some. So I feel your pain. 🙂
