Describe your relationship with your phone. Is it your lifeline,
a buzzing nuisance, or something in between?
At one time, my phone was a lifeline. It was everything – phone, alarm clock, camera, internet and texting. The phone still does all of those functions. I haven’t broken it yet.
While I’m at work, the phone has been on silent. For the last several months, when I get home it stays on silent. I did not start to do this on purpose. However, I really do not miss the buzzing or ringing. I check my phone often enough that it hasn’t been a problem if I miss a call. That’s what voicemail is for, right?
I feel less dependent on the phone. It’s almost liberating. Now, I’m not going to get rid of the phone or anything. Since I’m not ready to break up with my phone yet that would be crazy.
I find it to be quite a distraction. The days I leave it at home I am much more focused on what it is I am doing. When I do have it and I am talking on it, I spend a lot of time looking for it forgetting its right there in my hand. Distracting! (but necessary ;))
It is sooo distracting. And I agree, necessary. 🙂
Have you read my post If I were a cellphone? Check it out
I haven’t. I will do that. 🙂
What month was it posted?

Wow it was February 2013
Thanks! I haven’t been blogging that long. 😉
I’ve sure wasted, I mean spent a lot of my last year blogging 😉
I think I started in July 2013.
I’m an addict but there are worse addictions
True! 🙂
How bizarre – I wrote about my phone today too (http://leatherandabel.com/epic-phone-case/). It’s hard to believe just a few years ago we didn’t even have mobile phones and yet we still managed to meet up with friends and lead a normal life! I’m not a fan of being able to be contacted wherever I go now and people on public transport on their phones drives me LOONEY but I don’t think I could break up with my little piece of technology either… haha 🙂
