Sure, you turned out pretty good, but is there anything you
wish had been different about your childhood?
My childhood was fine, except that I was not a mermaid. I am not an outdoorsy person but I have always loved swimming. If I could have been a mermaid, that would have been wonderful. I could live with being a mermaid, even if it was part-time.
It would have been nice to have gone to a school with a swim team. I think I could have lettered in swimming. When I was in high school, I lettered in academics. At the time, I never thought about joining a swim team at the YMCA.
So I never competed. I do not have an Olympic gold medal. I do enjoy watching the swimming events almost as much as ice skating. I never wanted to be an ice skater. It’s too cold and there’s no beach.
My kids are all good swimmers. Maybe we can start a swim team. We could be the Mermaids. The Mermaid team sounds like a force to be reckoned with to me. 🙂
My youngest grandson, while I was lying on a beach, asked me if I was a mermaid…… (I wish)
That is too cute! 🙂 Me too . . .
🙂 My daughter is obsessed with mermaids. Also, there are a few things I’d change about my childhood, and by “few,” I mean the whole thing. Haha. I love the mermaid and seahorse image in this post – so pretty!
lol. Thanks – I found it on Pinterest.
Sometimes childhood isn’t what it should be. Here’s to being an adult! At least we can have a drink. 😉
Love it! I used to pretend I was a beautiful mermaid with my two cousins. Brings back lots of old memories. Childhood dreams are the best!
