Dollar Store Message: Writing Prompt Boot Camp

Day 10
Dollar Message
You’re at your favorite department store buying a birthday present for a friend. As the cashier gives you change, you notice a message with specific instructions scribbled on one of the
bills. What do the instructions say? Do you carry them out and, if so, how?

The message says “Find a map. Plan your own destiny.” Well, it never hurts to dream. So I bought a map for $2. The first map that I find is of Paris. Oh, Paris. . . le sigh.

There really isn’t anything stopping me from going except responsibilities . . . work, kids, work again. Why can’t I get a job traveling to Paris and other places I’ve never visited? So starting now, I’ll be living the dream. It’s time to conquer the world – starting with Paris.

P.S. I found a lovely map by Marisa Seguin. There prints of other cities as well. Visit this website: http://www.designworklife.com/2011/10/03/marisa-seguin-maps/

“Just a small town girl – living in a lonely world.” Concert tickets are practically essential. Musicals are the key to life. I like movies, music, books, and corny jokes.
