Recently, I’ve come to the conclusion that the unicorn is my spirit animal. Some of my friends love wolves or owls, which are both wonderful choices. They just aren’t animals that I can relate to.
So why the unicorn? They seem like solitary animals with a little bit of magic. I might not have the same kind of magic. Mine is more like charm or a good sense of humor. Seriously, making people laugh has gotten me out of a few predicaments, except in court. Note to self: Do not tell the judge jokes or stories. Stick to the facts! Or we could end up like this woman/unicorn.
Did you know that the national animal of Scotland is the unicorn? I think they are onto something awesome over there. Ohio’s state animal is the white-tailed deer. Lovely but not the same as a unicorn.
It will be a sad day when my kids don’t play with their My Little Pony unicorns anymore. Will I look ridiculous buying unicorns for myself? I should leave the unicorn mask at home, right? 😉
