My grandma made cookies similar to the cookies pictures. She didn’t use M & M’s. Her cookies also had chocolate frosting with coconut on top of that.
I found the cookie recipe on A Bountiful Kitchen. http://www.abountifulkitchen.com/2010/05/double-chocolate-coconut-m-cookies.html

By the end of the summer, my goal is to make the cookies. Even if I just make something that resembles the cookie so I can take a picture. I wish I had taken a picture of the cookies that my grandma made. Seriously, the best cookie ever.

Grandma would send them home with me. Apparently, I was supposed to share with my parents. I ate most of them on the 5 mile trip. Everytime. πŸ™‚ Sorry Mom.
I will be brushing up on my icing skills. Do any of my food blogger friends have a similar recipe? Or any tips on making good icing? Feel free to share.

Best dessert ever!
