Somehow I talked Lucas into going white water rafting. Still, he was not as hesitant as I was when we got there. We carried on and went down the river!
It was so much fun! I would do it again tomorrow if I could. We signed up for a half-day tour, which was about two hours. I think we could have gone for the whole day.
The rafting company was River Runners in Buena Vista, Colorado. They were awesome! If you go white water rafting, listen to the directions. It’s very important information to have when you fall out of the raft.
We also were lucky to have a good group in our raft. We were in a group with a nice family from Arkansas. Good peeps!
I did get the water suits for free. So they were out $6. I’m not sure if it was worth the effort I had to go through to get $6 of free stuff for blogging about the trip. Anyway. . . lesson learned. I didn’t even bother to get the free pictures. I took my own so I was cool with that decision.
I can’t wait to go again. Next time, I will bring my own water shoes and an extra waterproof camera.

I imagine the adrenaline rush must of really been something! 🙂
Yes, it was. And the cold water. lol 🙂
Wakes ya right up eh! 😁
Congratulations!! I love crossing things off my bucket list and I’m so glad you got to cross this off!
Me tooo!! On both things. lol 🙂 Thanks Kate!!
I went white water rafting in high school and the guide told us to slide to one side of the raft at a particular moment. My butt got stuck to the bench, so I messed up the slide. Our guide threw me in the river for that! So yes, listening to instructions is very important in white water rafting : )
