Sicky Poo

When you’re unwell, do you allow others to take care of
you, or do you prefer to soldier on alone? What does it take
for you to ask for help?

For the most part, I can take care of myself when I’m sick. Even when I have the flu, I have the strongest stomach around.
One winter I had an upper respiratory flu. I have never been so sick in my whole life. Well, except for that time I had viral encephalitis. That might have been worse. Both times, I had to rely on other people. I couldn’t keep track of when I had taken medication. Someone had to bring me food and beverages because I couldn’t get out of bed.
When I would take a bath, it didn’t last long because my fever made the water cold. Is that even possible. I did hallucinate a few times that winter because of the fever. I thought I could tell how big and fast all of the cars coming down the road were. I felt very tuned into the road’s vibrations.

  1. That’s good to hear! Ugh, I hate being sick. I mostly just stay in bed and make myself some Ramen which mostly involves putting the kettle on. Easy peasy. But it’s always nice to have someone take care of you =)
