Four score and seven years ago . . . okay, maybe just seven years ago.( A score is 20 years. ) Anyway . . . seven years ago, I was residing at a homeless shelter in Tampa, Florida. While I was there, a group from Church without Walls would visit. One of the ladies always asked if I was eating . . . if I had prenatal care . . . if I needed anything. She was genuinely nice. It was nice to meet someone who was really nice.
I never had the chance to thank her for her concern. Now I can’t remember her name. I thought I wrote it down in a notebook so I could thank her someday.
So I will just thank the ladies from Church without Walls in Tampa, Florida for all of their hard work. (I would thank the men but I don’t recall seeing any men in the group.)
i too used that quote for a person who was genuinely nice in my post. “speechless”.
there are often such people who have a shimmer to them of kindness and concern.
Wish there were more people like that.
yes, the world would be a better place. 🙂
What a beautiful thank you!
Thanks! I wish I could remember her name or find the notebook.
I’m sure she’s still out there doing good things. 🙂
