The Hunger is Real: NaBloPoMo

Have you ever tried to break a habit and failed? What made it so difficult to break?

Does being fat count as a bad habit? If so, then staying fat and not really caring if I lost weight has been my bad habit for the last six years.
Little Debbie snack cakes and French fries have made it difficult to break. Oh, and I don’t have much will power.

It has finally happened. I am sick of being fat. In my head, I feel like I’m skinny. So what changed my mind? My mom bought me a velour track suit for Christmas. It’s lovely but I don’t picture young, thin people wearing it. Yes, yes. Young, thin people wear whatever they want, including track suits.

I just don’t want to wear sweatpants. Ever. It will be like admitting defeat and fatness has won.

Boo to you sweatpants – even the beautiful, red velour ones under my Christmas tree.

  1. I like sweatpants, Holley. It’s the velour I don’t dig. I hope you succeed in your quest, my friend.

    1. People like sweatpants. I’m not one of them, I guess 😉 Pajama pants ok. I just can’t go along with sweats pants. Sweatshirts . . . love them. 🙂

  2. You know what I like? Men’s sweatpants. Why? because they have pockets. Big, deep pockets. And because they have the elastic at the bottom so I can stay warm when I walk. I just buy ’em big to fit over my child-bearing hips and use the heavy string to hold ’em closed. Boom! that’s comfort right there, baby. 🙂 I try not to leave the house in them — like to go shopping and stuff — but they are comfy for around the house and for exercising. I despise women’s sweatpants because they are so impractical. Velour? What kind of material is that for sweats? >>>shudder<<<

Also, I wrote a post yesterday about a nifty food log website if you're interested.

    1. Interesting. Men’s sweatpants. People do need deep pockets.
I am interested in your foodie post! 🙂

  3. Men’s sweatpants are also made to be roomy… not tight like women’s sweatpants. Another reason why I prefer them. 🙂
