Yoga is challenging on snow days. The kids are home from school. My youngest daughter woke me up saying “Mommy, can we do the exercise again?” It put a little smile on my face. Only a little one because I haven’t had coffee for several days. Still, a smile is a smile.
We prepared the room for yoga. Can you believe how much chaos a kid can do to a room within an hour? Anyway, after the crayons and dinosaurs were cleared, we watched this video called Yoga with Adriene.
However, this is how the kid looked through most of the video. Maybe it could be a new pose called “Sleepy kid watches mom do yoga.” It could be a real thing. It’s different than Child’s pose I swear.
Let’s just say it was just about impossible to concentrate. She’s a talker. I should be thankful that she wasn’t running around my mat in circles.
Lesson learned today: Someday I will miss our yoga snow days. So I should appreciate it now before she is a teenager. It’s ok that yoga class wasn’t perfect. There will be plenty of other days to have peace and quiet.
I started doing beginner yoga today at home, and it was really really nice. Going to try to keep it up, but I’m going to have to put the pup somewhere else! He kept interrupting me today.
Good for you! 🙂 Let’s both try to keep it up!
