So what’s it like the day after a Huffington Post post?

The day after the Huffington Post published my article was relatively normal. No one asked for my autograph at the grocery store. Heck, no one even took my groceries out to the car for me.

No one snuck into my car to stalk me. I left it unlocked but still no stalkers. Apparently, blogger stalkers are few and far between.

I still had to clean up after myself. No maids appeared at my doorstep. My boyfriend even found the mop for me so I could clean up a mess I had made. I was making my own laundry detergent and spilled it all over the place -just like every other time I make detergent. No one came to my house with a truck full of Tide either. Oh well.

I went to work like a responsible adult. Can you imagine what they would say if I called in and said, “Oh no. I can’t come to work today. I was published on the Huffington Post. There is no way I can get away from the computer. I need to monitor my stats.”

My kids are not impressed at all. They demand peanut butter and jelly and Netflix. They just want to watch “Justice League.” It’s like any other day for them.

It was still a good day – even without the stalkers, maids, sponsors, nannies and other adoring fans. I received many kind words from blog friends, real life friends and my former English professor. It was totally awesome. Totally awesome!!!

Now it’s back to the grind.

Mom, wife, shuttler, writer, wanna-be photographer, journal-er of life, runner, scrapbooker, volunteer, music-lover. Our oldest son was born 14 weeks too soon. Our daughter arrived 12 1/2 months later (8 days past my due date). Our youngest is diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder, PDD-NOS. I write about it all.

Maybe you ought to wear a sign which says, “I’ve been published!!” Hah! Bummer on the real life sticking around. Happy weekend!
