#WeekendCoffeeShare: On the Edge

Advertisements

If we were having coffee, I would tell you. . .
-That i bought new two new creamers. Bailey’s. I go through coffee supplies pretty quickly. Shopping at 7 am is quiet. Also, only the self-checkout lanes are open. Yuck.
-We’re mostly done watching Boardwalk Empire.
-I’m on the hunt for female comic book artists or female surfers. Does anyone know anyone on a personal level? A to Z Challenge is coming!! I might be freaking out a little.
-I’m not failing at lunch lately. I have at least one friend. I’m on the edge of lonely. Is that a Lady Gaga song?
-My kid wanted to wear her swimming goggles.

We mermaids miss summer.
What are you guys up to this week?

  1. reocochran – I am experiencing crazy and hapless adventures in dating that may interest people over fifty. I am now 65 this year (2017) and enjoy taking photographs, incorporating stories or poetry on my blog. I have many old posts which are informative and written like essays. I have several love stories collected from family and friends. Even strangers spill their stories, since I am a grown version of the girl next door. I have been trying to live a healthy lifestyle with better food selections and active hiking and walking. I have written four children's books and illustrated them. They are not published but a battered women's shelter used one about neglect and abuse for their children's program and a 4H group used my "Kissing a Bunny is like saying a Prayer" as a coloring book. Please comment or respond so I may get a chance to know you. Sincerely, Robin

I love the swim goggles on your daughter! When my grandson was only 3 he wanted to take this toy “weed whacker” to the library about a block away from my apt. As he saw a professional gardening team, he spied the goggles on one to protect his eyes, from small branches and other things he might encounter. My grandson didn’t quite have a way to explain why he needed to go back to my apt. We went back to the apt and he ran to this basket of balls and outdoor “equipment.” He found the goggles and put them on. He smiled big and said, “Now, I am ready!” This uniform continued to be his special one for walks around town until the All Horse Parade. After that, he insisted to wear a cowboy hat, leather vest and chaps. 🙂

  2. If you’re looking for a female comic book artist and writer, I’m friends with Chynna Clugston-Flores (formerly, Chynna Clugston-Major). She’s been around for quite a while and has a bunch of books out–some of which you might be able to share with the little one…some not so much. But it’s all good.

  3. heh…Goggles!

Good luck with the A to Z. No surfers are comic book artist friends here, but I’m interested in reading about them! 🙂

  4. Nancy – Enjoy the little things in life, because someday you'll look back and realize they were the big things.

I’m missing summer too. Maybe if I wore some swim goggles I’d feel better. I’m sure I wouldn’t look as cute as your daughter though!
