If we were having coffee, I would tell you

  • I’m working on perfecting a coffee smoothie. There are several recipes on Pinterest. The one I used was for one cup. I forgot to redo the figures for making more. So I added ice cream. Ice cream makes almost everything better.
  • Lucas thinks I should sell coffee smoothies in the driveway. I’m not against the idea.
  • that I started working at a new place. It’s ok – not super fantastic. I know a few people there so it’s been alright.
  • I’m trying to get back into writing my book. I decided to break it up into chapters for now. I tend to get distracted by everything so it’s been difficult to concentrate on just writing. There are also writing tips on Pinterest. Off-topic: I still have a crush on Tom Jones and he can also be found on Pinterest. OMG. I love the Internet.
  • I finished reading, My Trip to Adele. I’ll be working on doing the review later today.
  • I also finally finished watching Lost. I was really happy that Sayid and Shannon reunited. That’s all that I really cared about – Sayid and his love life. And maybe Sawyer. Sayid and Sawyer are 90% of the reason I watched the show.
  • My middle kid will be so happy that I’m finished watching Lost. She wants me to watch Supernatural so that I understand all of the memes that she shows me.
  • Last week, I started planning posts on a blog calendar. It’s been helpful. Some people plan their blog out for a year. I’m not that ambitious. I planned for about a month.
  • Now I have to go take a picture for a future blog. The plan for the week is to read and take pictures. Plus, work. Gotta make that money.

I not a big fan of ice cream, but I can see why it would make coffee better.

I have a new job too, and think the best thing is getting to know the colleagues…most are nice, and I avoid the cranky ones. Good luck with the job and the writing. Cheers!

  4. Kara Skinner – Kara Skinner is a Mainer going to college in Massachusetts. One of her favorite ways to de-stress is to read books and then talk about them. She created this blog partly so she wouldn’t be talking about romance novels ad nauseum to friends who couldn’t care less. She also likes entertaining people and helping them find the gems in all of the junk in the romance novel world and she hopes to help make a difference by donating some affiliate sales to some of her favorite charities. When she’s not reading romance novels, she’s living the exciting life of a college student which involves homework, making coffee, going to a work study job at three in the morning, more homework, and a lot more coffee. Her boyfriend says she’s a backseat gamer and finds it amusing when she screams at an episode of Game Grumps. She also has a serious obsession with Doctor Who and cried when it was taken off Netflix. Kara finds it weird to talk in third person for so long. She also hates revising her About page. However, she would love to connect with you and talk about books or life. You can join her mailing list for monthly newsletters as well.

Sayid and Sawyer were the best! I was in love with both of them and I was so happy Sayid and Shannon were reunited. She died way too soon. Also, Supernatural is fantastic! You’ve got a lot of watching to do for that one, though, because it’s 12 seasons in and still on the air.
