Love Reimagined: #bookreview

Generally speaking, romance is not my thing. I’d pick almost anything instead of a romance novel, a romantic comedy or even a love potion.

However, sometimes you have to go outside of your boundaries and read something besides urban fantasy novels. I thought Love Reimagined looked like it could be cute book.

So Miranda has had a crush on Chance Palmer since high school. His brother, Sam, has a crush on Miranda but he gets on her nerves. They all live in Kings Grove, which sounds like a lovely place, except for the looming forest fire.

Miranda gets a job in the Palmer’s construction company. Her plan was to spend more time with Chance. Of course, her plan doesn’t work out like she intended. Miranda also can’t seem to let go of the past. If she could forgive people and move on, she could focus on her future.

There were some funny parts. The part with Miranda’s mom having an embarrassing moment on television was the funniest thing in the book.

The book snob in me thinks that the book lacked substance. The characters were a bit one-dimensional. Everyone is so obsessed with physical appearances, even the elderly neighbor lady. She calls Sam and Chance weekly so they can fix things that aren’t really broken.

Honestly, I might be just like this lady in the future. If this were a movie on the Hallmark Channel,  I would probably watch it. I vote yes on the movie with handsome firefighters. Oh my gosh, I’m like that lady right now.

So if you’re into romance novels with a love triangle, small town charm and a forest fire, then this is Love Reimagined is the book for you.

I could be the worst cook in America. My boyfriend tells his friends about my cooking disasters. I'm glad someone is amused. I like movies, music, comic books and corny jokes.
