I have a wild child. She’s full of energy and talks a mile a minute. My expectations are to expect the unexpected from her.
It’s sort of like the latest album from Wild Child, Expectations. When I started listening to it I did not know what to expect. Is their music going to be the calm before the storm? Will Wild Child’s songs be extra hyperactive like whenever my own wild kid goes shopping?
After listening to the album, I would say that the band is not on a sugar high. Their music is sweet but focused. They have a message with each song that they want you to hear. Of course, most bands do want the audience to hear their words but so many messages get lost in the shuffle of having too much crap in one song.
Personally, I like the song “Eggshells.” I literally walked on a gigantic pile of eggshells once. Good times.
I foresee a summer of listening to Wild Child while hanging out with a wild child. It’s a good album for being “Making Memories” playlist.
