I know that we should not judge a book by its cover. I was reminded of this when I saw Jet Black Alley Cat. When I walked into the room, I had 3 questions: 1. Why are they all dressed like they’re auditioning for 70s porn? 2. Are they going to be weird? 3. Did someone put pheromones in the fog machine?
The answers to the questions 1. Maybe they just like to dress differently than most bands. 2. They were not weird. They were awesome. 3. Yes, definitely. So many pheromones in the air. Suddenly, everyone in the room is sexy.
The bottom line is that you won’t need booze or excessive pheromones to enjoy Jet Black Alley Cat – either live on their latest album, Motel.
