Jinx Hamilton has recently inherited a small shop from her Aunt Fiona. Of course, it’s not the only thing that she has inherited. Jinx soon discovers that Aunt Fiona has passed on her magical powers.
Soon she is communicating with ghosts and developing her own magic. Jinx and her best friend, Tori, are also trying to decide what to do with the shop, which is self-aware. The shop’s name is Myrtle and definitely communicates her wishes.
On top of all of the things with magic and running a business, Jinx and Tori embark on solving the mystery of Jane Does, a ghost in the local cemetery.
I enjoyed reading this book. I love a good mystery as well as a good ghost story. It’s a fitting book to read around Halloween. I’d give this book 3.5 out of 5 stars.
This book is the first in the Jinx Hamilton series by Juliette Harper. There are eleven books in the collection. The twelfth book is supposed to be out in 2018.
