What can I say about Misty Eyed? They are a four-piece hard rock group from Georgia. They have a female lead singer, Megan Burke, and a drummer, Zach Nall, who wears creepy masks. John Eck and Wes Powell round out the group on guitar and bass respectively. Misty Eyed recently released a new album, Eurydice, which is available on Spotify, iTunes and Google Play.

I had the chance to do an interview with the band. So here are the results of that opportunity with Misty Eyed.

Where was your first show?

Swayze’s in Marietta.

What do you like about your hometown, Acworth, Georgia?

It has an amazing taco joint.

When did your drummer, Zach, start wearing masks?

Since the day he was born.

Have you ever seen that show “Unmasked”?

No, we haven’t actually.

What gives you the creeps?

Syringes, ouija boards, and really bushy mustaches. The usual.

What do you guys think of the term female fronted?

We consider ourselves more male reared than female fronted.

Who did the cover for Eurydice?

One of our friends named Angie Guarnera actually did all the art for this album cycle.

Does everyone in the band enjoy Greek mythology?

We think it’s pretty neat, it’s a cool outlook on things.

What do you want people to know about Misty Eyed?

We just want people to know they’re not alone in what they’re feeling and what they’re going through, and it’s great because music is the perfect way to convey that. We want to help people.

“Just a small town girl – living in a lonely world.” Concert tickets are practically essential. Musicals are the key to life. I like movies, music, books, and corny jokes.
