Sleep Deprived Music Review: Witch Prophet

Last year, Witch Prophet released The Golden Octave. Lucky for me that YouTube still recommends decent videos because that is how I heard of Witch Prophet. Call it fate or whatever but it was meant to be.

The music of Witch Prophet is relaxing and empowering. When you listen to them, you will hear R & B, jazz and amazing beats. My favorite songs on the album are “Love Me” and “Listen.”

Some people compare Witch Prophet to Erykah Badu and Jill Scott. Maybe they have been influenced by neo-soul singers but they make every song their own. It’s hard to compare them to anyone when they are unconventional and independent.

Witch Prophet is based in Toronto. The group includes Ayo Leilani and DJ Sun Sun.

I want to listen to this album while out riding my bike on a nature trail. It’s upbeat but it won’t distract from the view.

“Just a small town girl – living in a lonely world.” Concert tickets are practically essential. Musicals are the key to life. I like movies, music, books, and corny jokes.
