- Go Ask Alice. I read this book when I was about 12 years old. Maybe it’s not for every 12 year old. However, after reading this book, I was never really tempted to do drugs or run away from home. If nothing else, I wanted to learn from Alice’s mistakes.
- Gods and Generals. Historical fiction set during the Civil War.
- Gods of Jade and Shadow.
- Gone Girl. It was a good book. So many twists. I did hate the ending but it is what it is.
- Great Expectations. It’s a classic.
- The Great Gatsby. I also read this when I was 12. I didn’t quite get it then but I have reread it several times.
- Green Dolphin Street. This book is one of my all time favorites. It has adventure and romance. I probably identified with Marianne, who was what you might call the dark horse.
- Gretel.
