When I saw a photo of Vulgarithm, I thought it might be my friend, Jeff. Long story short, it is not Jeff.
Vulgarithm is led by Andy “Dirt” McGurk. Vulgarithm has a unique look and sound. So if you are looking for something different to add to your playlist, Vulgarithm could be a welcome addition.

Where have you been staying?
I have been staying at home here in the UK, can’t really go anywhere else.
What have you been doing during times of quarantine?
I started my music project “Vulgarithm”, it gave me time to focus on my new ideas and let the fruition of my recent work become a reality. Sadly I can’t gig or tour it, but at least I have music to show for it.
Have you found or re-found any hobbies?
Only finding a fresh new love for song writing. We’ve done some improvements in our home but nothing new or spectacular.
What have you been listening to lately?I will be checking out the new Gojira album later this week, as I’ve been looking forward to it for a while now. Before that I have been heavily promoting my upcoming EP “Share in the 3rd Degree” so I’ve mainly been listening to that.
Has your songwriting process changed this year?
Of course, anyone who says differently is lying. Anything small but life changing can alter your outlook in life and that drastically changes your writing habits. I’ve focused on trying to make my music much more relatable to the general public.
Is there any message that you would like to convey to fans or soon-to-be fans?
As we come out of lockdown, gigs will gradually be reintroduced and one thing everyone has in common? They have never seen a Vulgarithm show before.
What is something positive that has happened to you during 2021?
My friends and family are all ok and doing well. That’s all I can hope for at the moment. As long as they are happy, I can be happy.
