A few months ago, I did a Flawless Friday Video post featuring Florencia Andrada. I’m very pleased to announce that Florencia is back on the blog for an interview. She is truly an amazing person and musician.

There are several places on the internet to listen to and support her music. The sites are listed below. Please welcome Florencia Andrada to the blog!

What do you like to do when you aren’t making music?

I love listening to music at home, attending to live shows. Watching movies/series, reading a book. Go somewhere with my dogs. Sending time with family and friends. And playing instruments or singing at home only for fun.

Who would you like to collaborate with in the future?

I would love to work with Tom Brenneck ( Charles Badley, Menahan Street Band) And I would really enjoy to collaborate with some of the Soul Bands/ singers like Alanna Royale, Thee Sacred Souls, Brainstory…. and a dream will be with Lady Wray, making background vocals , anythingggg!

Do you have a favorite book?

I really don’t… it changes with time.

What message do you hope to send with your music?

To be connected with your deep feelings, hopes and dreams. To be connected with others too, with their feelings and different realities. To be real in a plastic world.

How long have you been a musician?

Almost 16 years, damn!

How do you deal with adversity?

I try to confront it, I don’t hide from it. It hurts but I think its the only way.

Do you have a favorite musical artist/group?

So hard! It changes with time too… now a days I’m very into Lady Wray and Lee Fields. And of course always is a legend sounding… Syl Johnson, Aretha. But I also love other genres of music.

Do you have any rituals that you do before a show?

mmmm no. But I guess I have to start cause I get really nervous before the show so maybe its time!

What is something that you would like your fans to know?

That I’m very into my music. I put a lot in every song and I keep it real. And that if you really love something, go for it.
