Start writing music

One of the hardest elements of being a musician and being a band is that creative spark.

When we start to write music when you are young it’s amazing and new, so much potential of what you can do.

You meet a few like minded people, play some covers and start creating music. That’s how all of us in this band fell in love with music.

Even now we get that excited giddy feeling when you write something that really touches you or just sounds like it could fill up a stadium.

We sometimes get asked what you say to a band just starting and the answer has always been the same.

Just start writing music. It doesn’t matter what it is or what you do, just start. Once you start it just tends to flow and you come up with all sorts of ideas and wonderful directions to take your songs in.

Everyone knows what writer’s block is, and you can watch or read millions of ways to get past it. But I think it’s important to recognise that sometimes it’s good to just stop for a period of time, listen to something new or just go about your life and inspiration will find you.

The best piece of advice I can advise anyone is just start writing music. The rest will come with time.

“Just a small town girl – living in a lonely world.” Concert tickets are practically essential. Musicals are the key to life. I like movies, music, books, and corny jokes.
