Norwegian duo Ask Carol;s album Control You is ready for you. I don’t know if you are ready for it. The album is intense and wistful. Control You is like a cup of Insomnia Coffee – a kickstart to your day.
Ask Carol has powerful, dynamic vocals and thundering sound.They are a two-person band that sounds like a whole four person band.
They sound a bit like the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. I guess they have more melancholy in their music. The Nordic sound is kind of hard to describe but it exists. To me, it’s like how Nordic crime dramas are different than American crime dramas.
I wish that I could have been in Norway while Ask Carol filmed the Backyard Jam video. They have the most beautiful scenery in their backyard.
