Logan Lynn Yellow Trash Can

LGBTQ artist Logan Lynn along with Yellow Trash Can (YTC), made up of multi-instrumentalist Jason Navarrete and Sony songwriter Jitta On The Track, have a new video for their latest single, “I Got a Man.” It is not like the other “I Got a Man” song from 1992, except that both are unique.

The song is about saying what you want in a relationship and how awesome it is when someone appears in your life that checks all of the boxes. Logan wrote the song specifically about how a person can go from being solo to being part of an LGBTQ couple that finds real love and an honest connection. It is the worst feeling when you feel like there’s no soulmate for you. It is the best thing in the world when the soulmate finally shows up on your doorstep.

Logan Lynn says, “This song is all about trust and mustering the bravery to speak the truth of what I actually need in a relationship. Anyone who has ever listened to my back catalog or has been following me on the internet for any number of years will already know I’ve had a pretty rough go with men. I think that had everything to do with me not being ready for good things to happen to me, and not knowing what I want. Over the last decade I did a ton of work on myself to figure all of that out. I know what I want now — and especially know what I do not want.

The Distracted EP is about finally being ready for someone truly good to enter the picture, and then having that someone appear. Part one of the Distracted short film showed me and my man before we had met. Part two is all about our getting to know each other, coming together, and diving into a long distance relationship. It was such a sweet time in my life, getting to know him. Endless text threads, more Zooms and FaceTimes than I can count, plane rides back and forth between Portland and Boise, and just this unshakeable feeling that I had finally found the person I had been looking for all these years. I still have that feeling. Grateful every single day for this dude!”

“Just a small town girl – living in a lonely world.” Concert tickets are practically essential. Musicals are the key to life. I like movies, music, books, and corny jokes.

  1. Totally a paradigm of our time when it comes to personal relationships, I think. The ability to communicate your needs honestly without sacrificing healthy boundaries to do it! Preach.
