Brooklyn-based electronic composer Roman Angelos has written a wonderfully quirky and whimsical song, ‘Swimming Through The Aisles (Teeming Mix),’ that has been chosen as the “Track of the Day” on this blog. It will be the most interesting song that you will hear today.

The single has sparked my imagination as far as how it could influence a grocery shopping experience. Could I get away with dressing to the nines and doing my best Jennifer Coolidge impersonation while buying frozen pizza? The nice thing about instrumental music is that you can make up your own story of what the song is about to some extent.

Angelos’s latest track reminds me of the season two White Lotus theme song. It is unusual but I want it to play at the grocery store on every visit. Until that happens, I will just take my headphones and imagination.

The ‘Supermarkets, Underwater’ album is out on May 19 with distribution by Cargo Records. The CD version will be available exclusively at  https://happyrobotsrecords.bandcamp.com.

Keep up with Roman Angelos

music review

“Just a small town girl – living in a lonely world.” Concert tickets are practically essential. Musicals are the key to life. I like movies, music, books, and corny jokes.

This hit home hard for me! I love instrumentals for this exact reason! I love just letting my imagination run away while listening to music, especially instrumentals. It really puts me in my happy place for sure!
