The Method of Loci: NaBloPoMo

which memory devices work best for you when trying to memorize chunks of information?

Personally, using acronyms, rhymes and chunking are the mnemonic devices that I use the most.

Although I haven’t taken piano lessons for thirty years, I remember the notes are EGBDF. Every Good Boy Does Fine. Acronyms are definitely useful memory tools.

How many of us remember “In 1492, Columbus sailed the ocean blue” ? Historical facts can be easier to remember if we use rhymes. Set it to a beat and you can have a nice rap to recite for history class.
