Trio: Daily Post

Today you can write about anything, in whatever genre or form, but your post must mention a dark night, your fridge, and tears (of joy or sadness; your call). Feel free to switch one ingredient if you have to (or revisit one from previous trio prompts).

Early this morning – it still seemed like night- the power went off again.
When my boyfriend realized that all of his beer that he put in the fridge would not be so refreshing, I swear I saw a tear roll down his cheek. He really loves cold beer. His favorite place in the world is the beer cave at the grocery store. He could live there if there was a television, Wi-fi and a chair.

Halloween 2014: NaBloPoMo/Blogtober 14

Tell us if you’re going to dress up tonight for Halloween. (And better yet, show us a picture of your costume!)

This is the costume that I made for Little Sister #2. She is very excited to be dressing up like Wonder Woman. She said I should be Wonder Woman’s mom for Halloween. So that is the plan for Comic Con tomorrow – she’ll be Wonder Woman and I will be Wonder Woman’s mom.
Excuse me while I go find some clothes worthy of a superhero’s mother.

5 Facts about Me: Blogtober

I guess if you want to know some things about me, here is a list for you.

1. I was born in Tennessee.

2. My first concert as a teenager was Michael Bolton. I have no words. Try not to judge me. I did see Pearl Bailey when I was a young kid. That should count for something, right?

3. I used to read in the car all of the time but now I get car sick.

4. My name has been changed twice but I was only married once. Even my middle name has been changed. Some people think it’s funny that I’ve had so many names.

5. I used to be allergic to oranges and coconut. Those were hard times. Why couldn’t I be allergic to something awful like sauerkraut?

Holly Hobbie Costume: NaBloPoMo

Holly Hobbie Costume

When I was a kid, my favorite Halloween costume was Holly Hobbie. It was not as awesome as some of these dresses. It was a plastic dress and a plastic mask. Those were dreadful times for Halloween.

If I was going to do it over, I would wear a dress with an apron, a bonnet and brown boots. It would be so simple.

Harley Quinn

Harley Quinn

If you had unlimited resources and artistic skills, what would you want to be for Halloween?

If I had the resources and skills, I think that I would be Harley Quinn for Halloween.

I do have some resources and some skills. However, Harley Quinn’s hair and outfit are slightly more complicated than I’ve done so far. I’m pretty sure I could do the tutu.

Since my hair is soooo dark, I would have to go with half red and half black hair. The other option is to wear the harlequin cap.

Most Embarrassing Moment: Blogtober 14

Most embarrassing moment. ….

It’s really hard to top puking 50 feet from the finish line in front of a few thousand people.

I wrote about it last year. So far I have progressed to taking pictures of races. I haven’t quite gotten back into the race yet.

There was also the time went swimming at a hotel pool. My friends and I  did not know that there were windows in the pool. On the other side of the pool was a bar, the Mermaid Lounge. So our bodies were on display for about an hour. We had no idea until we were finished swimming. Some dude noticed us while we were standing in the hall. I guess he recognized us from swimming in the Mermaid Lounge. Luckily, we had good bodies back then so there wasn’t any reason for us to be embarrassed. However, I think I did readjust my suit while in the pool, which is a little bit embarrassing. It hasn’t stopped me from swimming.

If I had an album or a book, it would be called “Can You Believe This Clown?”
