a to z bucket list: Vineyard

We visited the Paper Moon Vineyards on Saturday. There was an ambulance there when we arrived; however, there was not a mass Exodus so we went inside.

Lucas and I sampled 5 wines each. My favorite was the sangria. He liked the Honeymoon Mead.

a to z bucket list: Squid at Sushi Bar

Octopus on left, Squid on the right. Butterfly roll in the back.

The squid was kind of plain. The octopus was almost impossible to eat without shark teeth or a sharp knife. I didn’t have either of those things.

The butterfly roll has eel, shrimp, avocado and cucumber. It was delicious.

In this one plate, I crossed three things off of the bucket list.

a to z bucket list: Waterfall

A few weeks ago, I read an article about the waterfall at Brandywine Falls at Cuyahoga Valley National Park. So I dragged Lucas along. Not really, he drove. I just had the plan and the directions.

It was totally worth the drive to see the waterfall. There are also hiking trails if you’re into that sort of thing. I was excited that I could count it towards my exercise plan.

A to Z Challenge: Matching shirts

Originally, I was going to ride a mechanical bull. Unfortunately, I don’t live close to one and I ran out of time.

So a lot of time has been spent researching bucket list goals that start with the letter M. I didn’t have a goal that fit the bill so I added one at the last minute.  My bucket list is always changing. I might never finish everything but that’s ok. Last year, I didn’t do one thing on the list and it was a little disappointing. Hopefully, there will be more time this year. I’ve already done more this month that I did for the entirety of 2016.

My daughter wanted to wear matching t-shirts. In public. We found the perfect shirts. The hardest decision was to figure out when to wear them – to a party or to glow bowling. We wore them to Lucas’ surprise birthday party. He was surprised by the actual party and that my kid wanted to wear the same shirt as her mother out in public.

So here we are in our matching “Let’s Get Weird” shirts. Twinsies.

a to Z Bucket List: photograph of covered bridge

I grew up within 10 miles of this bridge. Today was the first time that I had ever seen it in person. This is the Mull Covered Bridge in Fremont, Ohio.

My mom has some pictures of it somewhere. Honestly, I thought it was in a totally different place.

There weren’t many visitors, which was good. The parking lot is so small and I am a terrible driver.

It was totally worth the 20 minute trip and all of the whining from my kid on the way home.

a to z bucket list: Become Ordained

It is unbelievably easy to become legally ordained. The only thing left to do it to print out all of my official paper work and voila .  .  . I can perform a wedding ceremony.

I just always thought it would be cool to do a spontaneous wedding ceremony. What if someone needs an officiant and I’m the only one within 20 miles who can do it? It would be really disappointing if no one can do the ceremony of my future imaginary best friends.  Who am I to deny the happy couple a wedding?

a to z bucket list: Lost

My bucket list includes watching every season of “Lost.” I’m currently on season 2. By the end of next year, I should be finished. Lucas asked me what season I was watching. By his reaction, I can tell that he also feels lost.

When this show was originally on television, I watched it most of the time. Apparently, I missed a ton of details. If you miss a few minutes, you miss something. The first time around that I watched “Lost,” I didn’t even see a polar bear.

This item is a work in progress. lost
