Identity crisis averted. I’m a geek rather than a hipster. It’s a fine line between the two and I felt caught in the middle.
According to the infographic, I lean more towards geekhood. I’m okay with that. Maybe it will make me feel like less of a snob. I look like a Hipster on the outside but on the inside – not so much. The reason that I don’t want to be labeled as a Hipster is that they seem so snooty. Who wants to be labeled as anything anyway, right? It could be that I’m compartmentalizing my identity too much.
However, I am definitely a music snob. It’s not because I’m musically inclined in anyway shape or form. I’m just a Sound Guys girlfriend, which means that I’ve had to sit through many, many different bands. There were a couple of bands that made me want to run away screaming until all I could hear was my screaming. Thank goodness for earplugs. They are a Sound Guy Girlfriend’s best friend.
I love music. I appreciate music.
If being a music snob is wrong, then I don’t want to be right. But I’m pretty sure that I’m right.
