Music Should Have Been Her Boyfriend: NaBloPoMo

If you’re not working the job you listed yesterday, how do you feel when you look back on your old goal? If you are, what would you go back and tell your younger self?

Honestly, I feel like the younger self should have started earlier. She started to start writing and then got distracted. If I could tell my younger self anything, I would tell her to stick with the journalism plan but to get out of the editorial room and to do actual reporter type stuff.

Basically, she should have gotten off of her butt, bought a decent camera and a recording device. She should’ve started writing and interviewing bands about 20 years ago. I wish she would have made music her boyfriend, instead of whatever boy distracted her back then.

P.S. I did have an interview posted on Huffington Post. I finally tracked down And So I Watch You From Afar, who was the band for the letter A in the A to Z Challenge.

Here is the link if you want to take a look. 🙂

About holley4734

I could be the worst cook in America. My boyfriend tells his friends about my cooking disasters. I'm glad someone is amused. I like movies, music, comic books and corny jokes. View all posts by holley4734

This is kind of strange, I had a similar conversation with a friend from my old home town about working in the Theatre just a couple of days ago. If things had have been different for me back in my late teens and very early 20s my life would have been SO different now and I am sure my life would have gone down a different path.

I think the best we can do as we get older in life is just adjust to path we are on and remind ourselves that age is just a number and with experience come greater knowledge and more skill. The kids may have the good skin, but we have the history behind us:)

    Great post.
