Why does the rooster crow all day? I know why the caged bird sings. Is there anything to keep the rooster from crowing?
I would like to enjoy my backyard. I would love to garden without hearing my neighbor’s rooster. It seems to crow whenever I open the door or move. It is an excessive amount of noise, which is saying something because I have noisy children. Three loud, energetic children.
My youngest daughter woke up the real rooster by playing with her toy flute. It may have been the best $5 that anyone ever spent. It still makes me laugh to think of my little girl waking up the rooster. Is it wrong to laugh? Maybe.
In the scheme of things, I realize that I am lucky to live somewhere where the biggest complaint is the neighbor’s pet. Apparently, roosters can crow all day. I also think that my neighbor might have two roosters or a hen that echoes. I’m hoping that his barn is not going to be a safe haven for orphaned roosters. If that happens, we might be moving to a rooster-free zone. 🙂
I stayed in Euthera, Bahamas and there were more roosters than people. I had many evil thoughts and wondered if they taste as good as the hens. ……only one way to find out.
I’ve had that thought also. 🙂 But I’m too squeamish to pluck it.
It’s actually easy. I have done it in the past with a chicken…I quickly learned that I prefer The Grocery Store !
