The Gift of a Year

The Gift of a Year

Someone gave me “The Gift of a Year” By Mira Kirshenbaum several years ago. I read it about two years ago.
After reading the book, I decided to take some time out of an already hectic schedule to go back to school. It has not been an easy thing to do but I think that it will be worthwhile. I’ve learned several things about graphic design. (If anyone is going into graphic design, learn how to use Photoshop and Illustrator first. It will be easier to do assignments if you have some experience.)
If it wasn’t for going back to school, I might not be as interested in blogging or photography. I have really enjoyed doing both things this year.
The new year will be here soon. So it can be a chance to re-evaluate career paths or life in general. There isn’t a certain time to re-do your life. Some people start diets on Mondays. It’s all a matter of choosing a starting point that works.
Reading this book will also be a good start if anyone needs some motivation.

I could be the worst cook in America. My boyfriend tells his friends about my cooking disasters. I'm glad someone is amused. I like movies, music, comic books and corny jokes.

  1. Thank you for posting this book. I just reserved it at the library. I do need some serious motivation and am not sure where to find it. Where does it go when it leaves??? ~Gina

      1. I never thought of it that way. I like that. I’ll have to take a look back and see what I poured more energy into instead of my exercising!
