Curious George is the Cutest Monkey Ever: Daily Post

What was your favorite plaything as a child? Do you see any connection between your life now, and your favorite childhood toy?

Curious George was my favorite toy and also my favorite book series when I was a kid. I loved him so much that I ate his eye and his nose. I’d like to think it was because I wanted him to be a part of me. Otherwise, I’m not sure why I did try to eat his face, except that I was two or three years old and stuff happens eating your favorite toys.

There isn’t a quiz on what it means to love Curious George so much. I can tell you why I love him and how it relates to my life now.

1. He is just so darned cute. Probably the cutest monkey ever. Irresistible. I used to think boys that resembled Curious George were the cutest boys ever. Then I felt weird when I said it out loud. So let’s keep that on the down low.

This relates to my life because I used to choose the boyfriends that always found trouble and mischief. It’s not so cute when they are closing in on 40 and still getting into trouble.

2. He is curious about everything. The curiosity gets him into trouble but he still learns something from his experiences. I think I also learn a lot from getting into trouble due to curiosity.

3. Curious George wants what we all want – a loving family and some adventures.

I’m not sure when I lost Curious George. Sometimes I think about replacing him but I’m not sure if it’s possible. Would that mean that I’d have to eat his eye again? Let’s just say no to that.

β€œJust a small town girl – living in a lonely world.” Concert tickets are practically essential. Musicals are the key to life. I like movies, music, books, and corny jokes.

  1. I loved Curious George too. I think Pippi Longstocking was my favourite character growing up (books) but as far as toys as I was pretty active so a pogo stick was mine!
