Cold Case Quest: Kimberly Ellis

Columbus resident Kimberly Ellis was found deceased close to a bike path on October 12, 2000. The 27-year-old mother of two died due to multiple stab wounds. The police believe that the homicide occurred on the evening of October 11 or the early morning of Oct. 12.

Although, she was going through a rough period in her life, Kimberly was a human being above all else. She has a family waiting for this case to be solved.

The police think that Kimberly’s homicide could be related to a series of prostitution-related murders. In 2002, there were 32 unsolved cases that could have been connected. I’m positive that the amount of cases has increased since then.

There haven’t been any solid leads announced to the public. Hopefully, someone comes forward with information that could help solve Ellis’s homicide as well as the other related cases.
