Party : #NaBloPoMo

Tell us what makes a party or event successful in your opinion.

This is a list of four things that will make a party successful.

1. People. You have to have people attend the party to make it a real party. If no one shows up, it is no fun. Trust me.

2. Drinks. Non-alcholic or otherwise. People get thirsty so provide some punch or something. Lucas’ mom makes the best punch. It has strawberries, blueberries.Maybe gingerale. Anyway, it’s the best and easy to make.

It’s sort of like this recipe.

3. Food. People need snacks. It doesn’t have to be fancy. A veggie tray, a fruit tray, pretzels. My personal favorite is a tomato and cheese. It’s simple and fancy.

Here’s a recipe for tomato tartlets. They sound like fun. Tartlets is a funny word. . . 🙂 It should be a band name.

4. Music. There should be music. The playlist will depend on the event and the crowd.

Most people like Frank Sinatra. Unfortunately, not everyone likes heavy metal. Play whatever is appropriate for the occasion.

Pink Punk Rock Party

Pink Punk Party

You’re throwing a party — for you! Tell us all about the food, drink, events, and party favours you’ll have for your event of a lifetime. Use any theme you like — it’s *your* party!

The theme of my party is going to be Pink & Punk. Everything will be pink – pink boozy drinks, pink sugary treats, pink party favors.

There will be bands. I think J and the 9s should play. If she could wear a pink wig ala Jem that would be the best thing ever. The other band will be Sheer Mag. Really, the bands can wear whatever they want.

invited me to a blog party.

I’ve never been invited to a blog party before. She said I could wear a costume so I designed my own. It’ll be fab.

Small Town, Big Party: Share Your World

Where did you live at age five?  Is it the same place or town you live now?

Old Fort, Ohio. No, I live in a different town.

You are invited to a party that will be attended by many fascinating people you never met.  Would you attend this party if you were to go by yourself?

Yes. I would go by myself just to watch all of the fascinating people.

Did you grow up in a small or big town? Did you like it?

Small town. I didn’t know that I didn’t like it until I went to a big city.

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

A Solid Gold Dancer. Their outfits were so sparkly.

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I’m grateful that I have at least one blogger friend that I can trust completely. I’m hoping that I can share some incredible news. If it turns out not to be so incredible, then no harm done.

Party : Daily Post

So it’s my party?! I would have a garden party or what I think a garden party looks like. You know . . picnic tables, gazebos, flowers and lots of twinkling lights. There would also be food that someone else makes. If my boyfriend’s mom could make that awesome punch that would be . . . well, awesome.
If my favorite local musicians could cover “Ophelia” by The Band, I think I could die a happy woman. So if you’re listening Russet Burbank or Mike Risner . . . “Ophelia” by The Band.
Then later we could move the party down to the lake. There will be a tire swing and a raft. It sounds lovely. I should get the party planning started. My birthday is on the horizon you know. 🙂
