C.S. Lewis said, “Humility is not thinking less of yourself, it’s thinking of yourself less.” How good are you at placing others before yourself?
I have become pretty good at putting the needs of others before my own. In fact, I make a living at taking care of people. Then I come home and take care of more people.
However, I am not good at sharing oatmeal creme pies or candy bars. I’m pretty sure that I’m not the only mom who hides a stash of candy bars.
I’m also trying to improve on letting the kids help me scrapbook. Apparently, I’m a control freak with the scrapbooks. So it’s been a struggle to let the kids do anything scrapbook related even though it’s their scrapbook. But they seem to like helping. It gives us something to do on rainy days. How can I refuse?
P.S. I love that “30 Days in the Hole” song by Humble Pie. Can you be a rock star and be humble?
