Freezing Hot Water: NaBloPoMo

Water. I haven’t been in too much hot water lately. However, I have seen my share of water and broken water pipes this week.
I woke up at 2 a.m. on Tuesday. At first, I was confused because I didn’t know why the air conditioner was on. It wasn’t the air conditioner. The pipes in the downstairs bathroom froze and burst. So when I went downstairs, my kitchen and bathroom were flooded.
I ran back upstairs to tell Lucas. I think my words were “Kitchen flooded.” He said it sounded very primitive. It got the point across in a cavewoman sort of way.
We’re still waiting on the bathroom and kitchen ceiling to be fixed. It’s a work in progress. We just painted the bathroom in the spring. Luckily, I have an extra gallon of paint.
