Rebel Yell: NaBloPoMo

Do you still feel pressure of conform? If no, what age did it stop?

I really do not feel the pressure to conform. People keep trying to get me to be normal. It’s still isn’t working.
I stopped trying to conform when I was seventeen or eighteen years old. No one thought the stuff I liked was cool. I didn’t think all of the mainstream stuff was cool. It didn’t seem worth it to me to conform to like something I didn’t like. For example, there was a popular rapper in the 1990s. His music just wasn’t what I wanted to listen to – ever.
The point is that I like what I want, except for the Beastie Boys. I feel like I should like them but I can’t talk myself into it.

“Just a small town girl – living in a lonely world.” Concert tickets are practically essential. Musicals are the key to life. I like movies, music, books, and corny jokes.

    1. I might have been 16 when the non-conforming. I didn’t drive like everyone else. And after that I didn’t really care what people thought as much. 🙂 i wasn’t motivated by others. It has to come from within sometimes.
      I agree. Very annoying
