What is the 11th item on your bucket list?
The 11th item on my bucket list is to attend the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. This year the festival is April 25 – May 4. It is also the 45th anniversary of the festival.
Some of the performers include Eric Clapton, Santana, Chaka Khan, Robin Thicke, Phish, Robert Plant & , the Sensational Space Shifters. There are many, many more musicians that are all listed on the New Orleans Jazz Fest website.
Before Ruben Blades was an actor, he was a well-known Salsa singer and songwriter. Among other things, he wrote “El Cantante.” Blades is a truly fascinating person. If you get a chance, check out his biography on Wikipedia. He will also be performing at the festival.
This might not be the year that I go. I haven’t given up hope yet.
