If you could persuade people to do one thing right now, what would it be?
If I could persuade people to do something, it would be to get them to actually do something. It wouldn’t have to be what I want you to do – like recycle or buy from Etsy stores.
There are tons of things we could all be doing besides watching television or stalking people on Facebook. How many times have you heard someone say, “That chick is the best reality t.v. viewer of all time. She has really made a difference in the world.” No one says that because watching t.v. doesn’t make an impact on the world. Stalking may make a difference
I’m sure that if your kids are in school, they need help. Hanging out with your own kids can be fun sometimes. Life is hectic but we should make memories with our kids while we can.
If you don’t have kids, Big Brothers Big Sisters is an option. So maybe kids are not your cup of tea, there are still many volunteer opportunities that don’t involve children.
On the other hand, you may want to see the world, take dance lessons or write a best-selling novel. Whatever it is that piques your interest, you should do it.
There’s no shame in getting a job either. Lots of people are doing it. Seriously, wouldn’t a job be better than daytime television? I’ll watch soap operas again when I’m really old and people have to show me how to use the remote several times a day.
P.S. I love reality television. But I think it has rotted my brain a little.
