Funny Girl: A to Z Challenge

Funny Girl: A to Z Challenge

For the last several nights, I have tried to watch “Funny Girl.” I say tried because I have fallen asleep at the same point of the movie four out of five nights. It’s not the movie’s fault that I can’t stay awake.
I think I could watch “Funny Girl” at least once a week. Maybe even three times. “Don’t Rain on My Parade” is one of my favorite songs ever. When I made it to the end, I was surprised that I already knew “My Man.” I’ve only heard the Billie Holiday version until now. I also did not know that Fanny Brice was a real person. If you get a chance, read about Brice. She was a very interesting person.
I love the scene where she’s on roller skates. She looks so mischievous and playful, like my youngest daughter.
Barbara Streisand must be the luckiest woman on the planet. She’s funny, talented and married to one of the most handsome men on the planet. Have I mentioned her fingernails yet? Gorgeous!

“Just a small town girl – living in a lonely world.” Concert tickets are practically essential. Musicals are the key to life. I like movies, music, books, and corny jokes.
