If you haven’t heard Norah Jones yet, you should really do so immediately. She is a very talented singer and songwriter. (Ms. Jones is the daughter of Ravi Shankar. Also if you haven’t heard of him, look him up. http://www.ravishankar.org/)
I like hearing her sing so much that I forget to listen to the words. Her voice has sort of a dreamy, nostalgic quality. Jones’ music is a little bit country, a little jazz. It’s not rock but it’s not exactly pop. It’s much better than pop. No offense pop stars but this chick has substance.
I’m really looking forward hearing more of her collaboration with Billy Joe Armstrong, “Foreverly.” It would have been on my Christmas list if I had known about it in time. The album is a redo of the Everly Brother’s album, “Songs Our Daddy Taught Us.”

“Just a small town girl – living in a lonely world.” Concert tickets are practically essential. Musicals are the key to life. I like movies, music, books, and corny jokes.

  1. Wow, that is a new sound for Norah, or else I just haven’t been paying attention in awhile. And that first image of her with the top hat is awesome.

When she first started her career, we were all driven insane by her being Ravi’s daughter.
