It might be the best Halloween ever for Little Sister #1. She loved her costume. I think she would wear it all of the time if she could. As a mom, I feel like I’ve won the “Best Mom of Halloween” award. If there’s not such a thing, can someone make one and send it to me? Just kidding. I’m just so happy that she liked it and actually wore it.
She went out to tinker with her hammer. She tapped a pretend nail on the hammock and said “Nailed it.” I laughed for at least five minutes.
Little Sister #2 wanted to wear the helmet too. So here she is.
Picky eater? When I was a kid, I was the pickiest eater on the face of the planet. I would only eat peanut butter and jelly, macaroni and cheese, hot dogs and chicken nuggets.Occasionally, someone would trick me into eating a hamburger. Was it Ronald McDonald? I can’t say for sure.
That’s it for entrees.
I would eat most desserts. My grandma’s cookies were the best.
Eventually, I would eat more food. I liked taco salad but not with lettuce. However, I would eat regular salad including the lettuce. I still don’t like lettuce on anything. I also don’t like: onions, celery, peppers, mushrooms
Seafood is pretty good. It took me several years to be able to crack my own crab legs. I like lobster if it’s hiding in the food, like lobster bisque or something with a sauce. However, I’m not a big fan of fish.
I also don’t like hot dogs anymore. I don’t really eat a lot of lunch meat either. I keep buying it for other people but I don’t eat it.
When I was in high school, I tried Chinese food. My parents were so surprised that I loved Chinese food.
I’m still kind of picky. I don’t try new things very often.
FYI: I have tried antelope. A friend’s grandma put it in her chili. I didn’t know until I ate the whole bowl. I hate to admit that it was good but it was. I’m sorry antelope!
Is laughter really the best medicine?
Yes, unless you have a kidney stone or have pulled a back muscle. Then don’t laugh. What else are you going to do though? Take some ibuprofen and then laugh.
I’m a typical mom – I think. My kids get on my nerves just like typical kids. Then they do stuff like this when I take their picture. They all make me laugh every day. If they didn’t, I would cry much more than I do. Yay laughter!
It has been a great weekend on the blog. Destino now has 1000 followers. It’s like a cult -only better. There’s no mind control just glitter glue, photographs and music.

So what am I working on today? I am trying to put together Little Sister #1’s Halloween costume. She wants to be Thor this year. She does not want it to be girly so no skirts. I think it would be super with or without the skirt.
The first thing that I finished is the hammer.
I will update the post when I’m finished with the helmet and the armor. Luckily, I’m feeling fairly crafty today.
This video was pretty helpful. Miss Piratesavvy has all sorts of Thor cosplay videos. She has saved Halloween this year.
