Ain’t Nobody Got Time for Christmas: Daily Post

The holiday season: can’t get enough of it, or can’t wait for it all to be over already? Has your attitude toward the end-of-year holidays changed over the years?

My feelings toward Christmas was more like this picture a few years ago. I had the Christmas decorations taken down within an hour on Christmas Eve. It was a chaotic sight to behold.

Since then I just take the holidays one day at a time and try not to get overwhelmed. It helps that I’ve lowered my expectations.

I have come to terms with the fact that Christmas will probably not be like “It’s a Wonderful Life.” We won’t be having musical numbers like in “Holiday Inn.”

It won’t be terrible either. It will be time with family, which is what matters. If it doesn’t go according to plan, then we’ll have something to talk about for the rest of the year.

I’m also ok if we don’t have a white Christmas.

“Just a small town girl – living in a lonely world.” Concert tickets are practically essential. Musicals are the key to life. I like movies, music, books, and corny jokes.
