Take a quote from your favorite movie — there’s the title of your post. Now, write!
We’ve all lacked confidence at some point in our lives. Some people make success look effortless. They seem to step into success like the rest of us step into a mud puddle.
There have been times that I look at other bloggers and think “Of course, you have 10,000 view a day. Why wouldn’t you? Your blog is fabulous.”
What else can bloggers do but keep working, keep tweeking the blog. Tweeking, not twerking. I mean, if you want to twerk I guess it’s ok. Whatever works or twerks for you.
The Type-A challenge suggest setting blogging goals. I appreciate goals. Actually, I love goals. Setting goals keeps me from getting distracted by the thousands of suggestions that are on the internet. There are so many posts about making your blog outstanding that it’s easy to get lost in the muck. Trying to weed through all of it can be overwhelming.
So I think blogging goals should start with the person behind the blog . . . you. What do you want to do with the blog this year? What would you like to achieve? How are you going to get the word out about your blog?
My goals for this year:
1. I want to keep writing about music, book reviews and comic books. My posts about yoga and mommyhood have been fairly popular also. It’s important to keep things interesting around here.
2. If I could increase the actual views on the blog by an incredible amount . . . well, it would be incredible. I believe that it can be done. Here’s is a funny cartoon about not believing and Journey. Hilarious!
Don’t stop believing! 🙂 I have doubts on occasion. That’s when I send crazy messages to Kate and then she says something funny and inspirational.
3. Social media has been helpful in getting the blog out into the open. Submitting a post to Huffington Post could be helpful but might not get the traffic that you want. It’s still a worthy quest. Your mom will brag about you at work, even though you’re 40 and not a doctor. 🙂
Guest posting would also be helpful. I haven’t done very much guest posting per se but I’m not opposed to writing a guest post. Maybe someone will ask me this year or I will stalk other bloggers until they submit to my will.Just kidding. I don’t have the time or energy to stalk people like they deserve.
Actually, I find other blogs from guest posts that they do on blogs I follow or from a reblog.
If you have blogging goals that you think are helpful or interesting, it would be awesome if you could share how you are going to twerk it out. Or work it out.
